Privacy Policy
Scrutator is an independent research site about AI video clipping tools. It is free to read and you do not need an account. This page explains the small amount of data involved in that.

Summary
- There are no accounts, sign-ups, comment forms, newsletters or paid plans on scrutator.ai.
- We do not run analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or session-recording tools, and we do not set cookies.
- Pages use your device’s built-in fonts, and their images and scripts are served from scrutator.ai itself. We do not embed third-party fonts, videos, widgets or social buttons.
- Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages.
- If you email us, we receive your address and your message, and we use them only to reply.
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
Reading the site
Scrutator publishes reviews, pricing breakdowns, comparisons and guides about AI video clipping tools. You can read every page without registering, and there is nothing on the site that asks for your name, email address or payment details. We do not build visitor profiles, and we do not know who reads which page.
Cookies and similar technologies
Scrutator does not set cookies and does not use local storage, analytics scripts or advertising tags. Because of that, there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to. If we ever add analytics or any other tool that stores information in your browser, we will update this page first and say exactly what the tool is and what it collects.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives technical information each time your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser user agent, the URL requested and the time of the request. Vercel uses this information to serve pages, keep the service secure and protect against abuse. We do not use it to identify individual readers or for advertising. Vercel’s handling of this data is described in the Vercel privacy policy.
We also use Google Search Console to see how the site appears in Google Search. Search Console reports aggregated search data that Google produces from its own search results; it does not add any code or cookies to our pages.
Emailing us
If you write to hello@scrutator.ai, the message is relayed by Forward Email to the mailbox we read, which is hosted by Google (Gmail). We see your email address, your name if your email client includes it, and whatever you choose to write. We use this only to read and answer your message, and, if you report an error, to correct the page concerned. We do not add you to a mailing list and do not share your message with the vendors we review unless you ask us to.
Links to other sites
Our pages link to vendor websites, pricing pages and help centers so that you can check sources yourself. When you follow one of those links you leave scrutator.ai, and the other site’s own privacy policy and cookies apply. We do not control what those sites collect.
Children
Scrutator is written for creators and marketing teams choosing software. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your choices
Because we do not run accounts or trackers, the only personal data we normally hold is email correspondence. If you have written to us and want a copy of that correspondence, or want it deleted, email hello@scrutator.ai from the same address and we will handle the request. For data processed by Vercel, Forward Email or Google, you can also use the options those providers offer.
Changes to this policy
