Using the site
Scrutator is free to read. There are no accounts, subscriptions or payments, and you can read every page without giving us any personal information. Please use the site lawfully and do not attempt to disrupt it, overload it or access parts of it that are not public. How we handle the limited data involved is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Research, not professional advice
Our pages describe AI video clipping tools using the vendors’ public documentation and pricing pages, our own calculations and, where stated, our own tests. They are general information to help you decide what to try. They are not legal, financial or professional advice, and they do not replace a trial on your own footage.
Software changes quickly. Prices, plans, credits, free-tier limits and features can change after we check them, and our research pages show the date their information was checked. Always confirm the current terms on the vendor’s own site before you buy or subscribe. Where a page says hands-on results are pending, no completed test is being claimed.
Independence
Scrutator is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the companies whose tools we cover. Vendors do not determine our conclusions. Our methodology and editorial policy explains how we separate vendor documentation, our arithmetic and observed results. If that ever changes, for example if a page contains an affiliate link, we will disclose it on that page.
Our content
Unless stated otherwise, the text, tables, diagrams and design of scrutator.ai belong to The Scrutator Team. You are welcome to quote short excerpts with a link to the original page. Please do not republish whole pages or substantial parts of them, or present them as your own, without our written permission. Requests can be sent to hello@scrutator.ai.
Trademarks
Product names, logos and brands mentioned on Scrutator, including Opus Clip, Vugola, Submagic and the other tools we cover, are the property of their respective owners. We use them only to identify the products under discussion.
Third-party sites
We link to vendor websites, pricing pages, help centers and other sources so that you can check our work. Those sites are run by others, under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
We work to keep our pages accurate and dated, but the site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Scrutator Team is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content, including decisions to buy, cancel or switch software. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you spot an error on any page or have a question about these terms, email hello@scrutator.ai or see our Contact page.
